Thirty-five years in full-time ministry, and Vickie and I do not regret a moment of it. What a blessing to serve the King of Glory in this way.
MY FAVORITE PERSON IN THE WHOLE, WIDE WORLD
I have been blessed to meet many fine people. Many have become my closest confidants and friends. Many are my blood brothers and covenant family. Many are famous. Many are rich. Many are renowned in their careers. They cover the entire planet. I love and appreciate all of them. I have always said it’s a great privilege to have a friend who wants to share life with you.
My kids (Dawn and her James, Josh and his Trish) and all my grandkids are very close to me. I don’t know what I would do without them. However, there is one person who has stood with me and believed in me, no matter what, and that is my bride of forty-one years, Vickie. I tell Vickie she is just like Jesus—she loves to be chased, and she loves to be caught. I tell the whole world that I fell head-over-heels for Vickie the first day I saw her step off a school bus. We were just turning thirteen.
I also tell the whole world that I owe my entire life to Jesus and Vickie. I actually met Vickie first, but Jesus is Lord! Jesus has been very good to us. I’m glad we are a born-again family, living outside of sin.
