Can you work in the factory without the person next to you trying to tell you dirty jokes? Hardly. Can you fly on an airplane without the person next to you trying to flirt with you? Hardly. What about a family meal at a restaurant? I’ll guarantee that just about every time, your kids will hear cussing and the Lord’s name in vain by full-grown men (and women) at a table nearby.
price for our liberty and freedom, and we are going to exercise that right.
Let me say it again: I am declaring that we are free— sin free, despair free, fear free, drug free, fat free, poverty free, and hindrance free—free from hindering people and spirits—free from sin, not free to sin.
I see many churches actually turning into decontami- nation stations and setting many people free. Even if you live clean, you seem to pick up pollutants and contaminants from the world. Look around you. Every other billboard is painted with filth. Have you seen any TV commercials lately? They are mostly disgusting and an absolute insult to the clean mind. They are sensual, and they are filled with almost full nudity. From sports magazines to car magazines, you are forced to flip the pages quickly to escape the “babes” in swimsuits or the licentious-looking gals leaning on cars.
I am believing God with you for deliverance from the things that have you bound—that they will be broken off your life. I believe with you that the things that have had a hold on you for long periods of time will be destroyed. It’s time for strongholds to come down—
a time to cast down imaginations, a time to finally overcome those haunting things of yesterday.
What’s my point? No matter where we turn, we can’t seem to escape the ways of the world and the lusts thereof. We were at a really nice restaurant the other day, eating dinner with some friends. As I turned through the pages of the menu, I was shocked to see a full page of it rented by a national lingerie store that decided to plaster it with a sexy looking lady in her undergarments (skimpy ones at that). Let me tell you right now, it will do you no good to complain to the manager about any of this. They just don’t seem to embrace the same convictions as holy Christians.
It is a very filthy day. It is dirty, and you can become exposed to so much, just by living on the planet each day. However, as churches give themselves more to helping people become free, we will see many come to the holy altars and enjoy the fruit of the altars. The Bible is clear about this. If you are one who lives at the altar, you will be one who partakes of the God of the altar.
