P. 13
There is no doubt the Lord is telling us to pay attention to our walk. If we live in negligence, we will not have what it takes to escape the evil and the snares of the evil one. However, if we do pay attention to our Christian walk and purpose to be spiritual, we will be powerful.
If we stay in prayer, we will most likely stay out of sin.
If we stay in prayer, we will most likely stay out of the world and keep the world out of us. Prayer itself requires God’s attention. It is difficult to have God’s attention and remain in His presence and still want the world. He guides us through our prayer time and steers us away from danger. When we pray, it makes us strong. When we pray, we endure, and we overcome. If we live a life of prayer, we will be strong enough to overcome this world. Don’t let anything hinder your prayer life!
Let’s prepare ourselves by doing what the Bible teaches us to do, such as praying in our prayer language and building up ourselves on our most holy faith (Jude 1:20). Many churches teach people to avoid praying in the Holy Spirit. This is weakening us in a day when we need more power and more faith to overcome the darkness. Certainly this is not a day when we need less of the things of God, though many choose not to hold God’s hand as they walk through life. Don’t be one of those!

Luke 21:36 NLT
Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man.
Let’s take a closer look at this verse and the insight it holds for us. First of all, it says to pray. That doesn’t mean to do nothing but pray. No one could do that and still raise a family and hold a job. It means we should be people of prayer.
