ROY HICKS SR.
I’m not sure I ever met a man more in love with truth and God’s Word than Dr. Roy Hicks. I knew him from the 1970s until he was promoted to Heaven in 2008. His tenacity to study and interrogate the Holy Scriptures has stuck with me to this day. I am a dedicated and disciplined student of the Bible because of him. He creased the life of so many young ministers, and for decades he kept most of the Church out of heresy and false doctrines. He sure changed my life. Roy Hicks Sr.—one of the greats!
GEORGE EVANS
Dr. George Evans was a supernatural prophet of God. He was given one of the most accurate prophetic gifts I have ever witnessed. He was in love with Jesus Christ and the ministry of Jesus Christ. I had the privilege of following his lead for four decades of my life. He read the Bible through more times than anyone I know. He built a great missionary Bible school and sent many of us out. He has disciples all over the world. He taught me how to pray and to always give an altar call. “Word, worship, workshop,” he would say. George Evans—one of the greats!
LESTER SUMRALL
Dr. Lester Sumrall was an incom- parable man. He was a master when it came to the supernatural realm, angels, and demons. He was afraid of no one. He spoke the truth in a way that no one could misun- derstand him. He was a general in God’s army. I learned much from him, especially in our private times, and many say I sound like him and stand like him! God used him to keep the body of Christ stable for many years. He literally changed the world with his “Feed the Hungry” program and the many books he wrote. I still read them to
this day. He was a man who walked with God. Lester Sumrall—one of the greats!
HILTON SUTTON
Among these great men who walked with God is Dr. Hilton Sutton. It was our high privilege to be close to him and have access to him. I loved his preaching. He was among the best. I loved his writings. They were superior to most. I loved the personal conversations I had with him so many times. They changed my life forever. I’m not sure if I learned more from his writings or from these “chats.” Both were so eye-opening. This man changed the way we look at the Book of Revelation. He upgraded the way we dealt with eschatology. He brought Jesus back into end-times teaching in such a powerful way. And altar calls... no one better! Hilton Sutton—one of the greats!
T. L. OSBORN
Healing evangelist Tommy Lee Osborn was an absolute nation changer. Whether it was his simplified teaching and call to salvation, or the gift of miracles God imparted to him, his books and preaching won many to Christ and realigned many Christians, drawing them back to Calvary. The day I met him was a day I will remember all my life. I was privileged to follow him and his ministry. My pastor, John Osteen, said he was the finest and most potent missionary he had ever met. I concur. T.L. Osborn— one of the greats!
ORAL ROBERTS
Dr. Oral Roberts changed the entire world with his teachings and sayings. His miracle healing ministry alone saved multitudes of people from dying of diseases and living in pain. I will never forget this saying: “Something good is about to happen to you today.” Or how about this one: “Expect a miracle.”
I have literally lived my life after his teachings on seedtime and harvest. And when he told me to read through Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John four times on my knees, it sowed the truths of Christ and the ministry of Jesus deep into my heart forever. His very stature and commitment to Christ changed my life, and I will never turn back.
Oral Roberts—one of the greats! BILLY GRAHAM
Evangelist Billy Graham shaped the course of our nation and many others. There are multitudes of saved souls who were born again at his altar calls. I am blessed to have witnessed this great man of God as he presented the simple truths of John 3:16. Many Americans, whether church members or not, consider him one of the fathers of modern America. I admire Billy Graham as well for his tenacity to stick with his call and never waiver from it. He has proven that you cannot only preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, but you can live it. His example will live on until the Lord comes for His Church. Billy Graham—one of the greats!
FREDERICK K.C. PRICE
Dr. Fred Price is a pillar of truth himself. His presentation of God’s Word, confronting the times and the issues of the day, truly kept much of the body of Christ cen- tered properly on the Scriptures. His saying, “Evidence that demands a verdict,” explains it all. He is another great general in God’s army who has been a no-nonsense, godly leader. His impact on the world is tremendous, and he just doesn’t quit. What an example for many other ministers of the gospel. The army that follows this great man is enormous. His character
is impeccable, and his stature immovable. What a great man of God. Fred Price—one of the greats!
